Abortions

Abortions are dangerous many things are known to go wrong during the procedure. Many women get the procedure done to them just because they feel they aren't ready or it was a big mistake. There is no mistake. Most women know the possibilities of getting pregnant when they have sex. Not the mentally challenged women, but the women that are healthy and in their right state of mind. It is common sense but if some women are unsure they could easily go to a place such as Planet Parenthood and get answers. It is unfair to take away such a gift, especially when it was never even given a chance to live, to breathe or to feel, just because two people made a "mistake". Abortion is termination of pregnancy. It's hard to comprehend how someone could perform or go through the procedure. The thought of going through something like that or witnessing it is sickening.
There are many myths about abortions. Doctors say that the procedure does hurt because dilating the cervix or the neck of the womb has to be done, causing cramping pain. Anesthetic is injected into the cervix to numb it up. That does help some. The Bleeding can be a problem, it depends on how far along the pregnancy is. In abortions performed up to 12 to 14 weeks, the bleeding is usually less than six ounces. Abortions afterwards can be much more bloody. It's really depressing when you think about it. Research has proven that the baby most likely feels pain during an abortion. Just from six weeks the baby has sensation around its face and mouth. It would be understandable if the woman could not physically handle giving birth to a child or she had been raped and the baby was forced onto her. Under those circumstances, it should be excused, but for a woman to do such a thing just because of irresponsibility is wrong.
Abortions are not 100% safe, like any surgical operations, it carries some risk. Major complications include, major bleeding, retained placenta (can cause serious infection, can become very ill, be hospitalized), damage to the bowel or bladder that requires surgery, and sometimes a hysterectomy has to be performed and then, the woman would never be able to conceive again.
