Romeo And Juliet


             Literature like Romeo and Juliet is a timeless classic due to many different reasons. It ha been read for hundreds of years and will be for hundreds more. Many different causes contribute to this. The parent child conflicts are universal, almost every generation of adolescents have gone through endless nagging and forced decisions. The plot and theme makes the play a lot more enjoyable. A lot of people think love is the most important aspect in life; for them this play is saddening. The characters add realism to the play. All these factors create a universally lifelike, enjoyable and convincing play. .
             Adolescents have gone through a conflict with their parents. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet has to go through a forceful marriage with a person she doesn't know. Juliet is forcefully pressed into marrying Paris, a kinsman to the Prince. Sir Capulet forces her by telling her if she doesn't marry Paris, he will disown her. Many girls all over the world go through the same dilemmas. Many parents want their children to do what they say. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet loves Romeo but the situation between the families causes her to fake her death. When she wakes up she finds Romeo dead because he though she was dead and he commits suicide then Juliet follows by committing suicide. This is indirectly forced by the parents and caused by a conflict that could have been fixed.
             The plot in Romeo and Juliet is timeless and will stay that way. Even though it over five hundred years old it is delightful. The clash of the families causes great enjoyment. Montague and Capulet are two noble houses in Verona, Italy. Romeo and Juliet are two lovers who want to live their lives like any other lovers, together. But, the two families would not allow the marriage. Montague and Capulet seem to have a long history of feuding. Many lovers over the globe have been in a situation just like this but not as serious. This predicament within the play makes the play exciting.
