He says .
"And while thy willing soul transpires.
At every pore with instant fires".
This suggests that she is pretending not to be fascinated with the man but she is burning with passion for him.
In "The Beggar Woman", the poet describes a man with a similar attitude. The man's attitude toward the woman was sexual and physical. The poet describes how the squires "often asked her to expose". This depicts that the man wants her to undress so that he can have sex with her. The woman's attitude toward the man is manipulative; she makes the squires to suggest to carry the baby on his back. "Were the child tied to me, d"ye think "twould do?" This shows how the woman turns the tables on him by making him suggest carrying the baby, if he would have sex with her. This makes the squire look foolish and loses his power. The woman is sarcastic to the man "Mighty well sir! O lord! If tied to you!" This portrays how the woman describes the man ironically.
The poem "My Last Duchess" also explores a man attitude; this poem is different because the man's attitude towards the woman is established by his power. He accuses the woman of flirting:.
             "She liked whate"er.
She looked on, and her looks went everywhere".
This emphasises that the woman smiling at everyone and it make him feel that she is being unfaithful.
             .
The poem explores different stages and different types of relationship. In "The Beggar Woman" there is no relationship established between the woman and the man. "ben't angry that we part " this shows that their relationship was not successful and that is why they part. In this poem, the man has power as a squire but at the end the woman who is the beggar makes the man seem foolish by tricking the man. "but, ere you get another to try a year or how you"ll keep this " this shows how she tricks the man by telling him; If he will be able to take care of the baby, the she would give him another. This also illustrates how the woman ends up more powerful than the man, by tricking him.
