Data driven research combined with scientific based decisions are included in the NCLB act because they are a way to improve education by measuring performance and to transfer that knowlege into wisdom.The wisdom then is to be used as a guide for action to improve and change academic outcomes (Doyle,1 ).The real intent of the law is to hold public schools accountable for what the government has determined to be adequate academic standards for our nations children.
             In 1994The improving America's Schools Act, initiated a system for measuring and testing Title One students(poor and disadvantaged kids), the new act goes further,it is meant to close the gap and assure that all children from all backgrounds are measured against the same standards. Each state is required by law tio show adequate yearly progress and that all students are proficient in twelve years. years.Two aspects most talked about concern accountability and annual testing requirements.Student performances are separated by socioeconomic and demographic catagories including students with disabilities and English languege learners, is expected to improve until all groups reach100 percent proficient( Michelau,Shreve).
             The NCLB law originallt called for multiple forms of assessment. Instead we received one form of acessment The Massachusetts Comprehension Assesssment System,better known as the MSAS test, a one size fits all deal.
