The origins of carrom as we know are quite obscure. It is believed to have originated in india but the precise location is undetermined. The game is played on one square, wooden board with four pockets and is played by flicking a corrom striker disc with one finger at the carrommean "goti". The goal is to collect points by sinking your nie pieces, plus the red queen piece, in the pockets before your opponet.
