H.w. AP History

What events in Great Britain contributed to the settlement of English colonies in America?.
There were lots of reasons, which led Great Britain to colonize in America. Main reasons were: poverty and the conflicts between King and the Church. King Henry the eight wanted to marry Catherine of Aragon, but the Protestant church refused to give its permission for him to do so. This was one of the beginnings that led England into poverty. Between 1500 and 1650 Landlords decided to dislocate farmers to earn more profits. That caused lots of farmers to be left without a job and being forced into living very poor lives. Some farmers turned to Landlords for help but even if they got some financial help they had to give something in return and if they didn't, they were forced to become a puppet of a Landlord. People saw all of these things happen and they also saw a solution. The solution was The New World. One of the people who was looking for the solution to all of this inferno was Richard Hakluyt. He was urging Queen Elizabeth to establish colonies in the new world!.
This would help out a lot in the current condition. First of all people would get more opportunities and might get back on their feet.
             2. Summarize and assess the arguments presented by Hakluyt (Refer specifically to 1D4) for promoting English colonization in America.
Richard Hakluyt was one of the thinkers that tried to find a solution for the terrifying problem in England. He saw lots of things that New World possessed. In his works he described just that. He said that one of the countries that was smart enough to take the advantage of the New World was Spain. Because of Spain's colonization, it had a breaking success financially and socially. He said that if we were to repeat the same steps, England would again be a Superpower. He said that because of the poverty and famine, people are becoming more and more desperate.
