             In the world of sports it is not rare to see athletes give their heart and soul for the love of the game. From sunrise to sundown they practice everyday to perfect their game to achieve their dreams. Steroid use dates back to the 1950's when some athletes were using steroids (juicing up) for training purposes but now you will find all sorts of athletes using this drug. Five percent of male and two percent of female high school students are using steroids. So that would be equal to 375 thousand males and 175 thousand females. Unfortunately, Most steroid users are injecting for better performance and strength for their sports; but, other users are simply juicing up to build more muscle mass or to look better.
             Anabolic steroids are illegal and are commonly sold over the black market and there are different kinds widely used such as: Testosterone Propionate stimulants, clenbuterol and other generic products that are marketed as steroid alternatives. Without a prescription steroids are illegally sold.
             A high percentage of steroid user end up sacrificing a lot for fame and glory; for example, in males, breast development, kidney disease, headaches, genital changes muscle cramps, abdominal pains, and bone pains are common symptoms of steroid abuse. On the other hand, symptoms such as male patterned baldness, smaller breasts, deeper voices, excessive body hair and menstrual irregularities, are common in females who abuse this drug. There is evidence that steroid use contributes coronary artery diseases, ligament injuries, high blood pressure, changes in your cholesterol level, sterility, and liver disease change in skin pigment and eyes having a yellowish tint, severe acne, and water retention are symptoms in both sexes.
             Physical problems are just the first step; steroids users also share similarities psychological problems. Some psychological problems are mood swings such as uncontrollable rage, and the mental addiction to the drug, for example, keeping up the same performance in sports while on a cycle.
