The Professor And The Mad Man

            The Professor and the Mad Man written by Simon Winchester, is the story of the making of the Oxford English Dictionary. The story begins when Dr. William Chester minor, an American lunatic man, murdered george Merret aparently with no reason.
             Merret was a very Honest man who never met Dr. Minor, he just was at the wrong time inthe wrong place and appeared murdered. Dr. Minor was arrested without any objection, he just told the police that someone was following him, so he killed the poor man. W.C. Monir was very insane, while he was in prison he act very strange; he had many delirious dreams of persecution. He probably was very affected because his participation in the American Army. On the other hand there is James Murray, a very well educated man, who was pretending to edit an English dictionary. Professor James Murray, sent ou an anouncement about the making of the Oxford English Dictionary, asking for literary contributions. William Minor who was feeling very lonely in rpisom askwer the anouncement with interest.
