The first thing that parents and teachers have to do is to read daily with children because reading is a part of daily life because the written word is everywhere. All children should have the oportunity to develop their own reading tastes in order to understand that reading books can be fun and interesting. Children can not be forced to read what others want them to read. Children should always read for delight. It is good to help children to find books that fits their particular interests and are written at appropriate levels.

Teachers and parents should create opportunities and encourage children to read and to share what they have learned about their reading.              While reading to children, parents and teachers should let them to turn the pages and ask questions about what is being read because doing this children will feel that they are part of the reading and not just a passive audience.
