Why I Want To Teach

To impart knowledge or skill to somebody by instruction or example, a general definition of the word teach. To some this shallow meaning will suffice, to me there is a far deeper sense of the word. I feel that I owe back what I have been taught in my educational career. I have a need to give back all the things that I have been taught and teach them to the younger society so that the next generation of teachers or employers will have what they need to succeed in everyday life. Football has also been a way of life for me.
Another factor that plays an important role in my wanting to be a teacher is that I want to coach a high school football team. If I am high school math teacher and a football coach, I will have everything that I have wanted to do in my life occupational wise. I want to coach for many reasons. Coaching kids new defenses is similar to teaching a class. Being around football is an important aspect of my life; this is due to having one the best memories that I will never forget as long as I shall live.
My math teacher, Mr. Arnold, has influenced the way I look on the subject matter and the way I will look at math in the future. He explained things in a manner that made it easier to understand, but he also had patience with all of the kids that he taught. I have patience with people too, when I am teaching them a subject matter that they have not yet been introduced to before. I am able explain things in a way that they will be able to understand and yet at the same time use it later in their life.
