The camp made me a high-school wrestler before I was out of junior high. Also that summer my parents said I could see my friends again. When I went out with them I felt out of place. All they did was get into more trouble, and is all I had to talk about was wrestled. That summer I decided the path I was going to take, I never talked to most of my old friends after that day. .
When I went back to school as a big 8th grader I still played football, but that .
was only training for wrestling. The winter season had finally hit and it was time for .
wrestling again. Nothing spectacular happened that season but I was wrestling better .
than anyone else. That summer I was invited to the high-school wrestling camp again, .
we get to spend a week at the University of Minnesota. This camp was a lot harder the .
Missouri. They made us get up befor it was light out side to run. They had us do much more wrestling and driles than I had ever done. But it made me improve greatly. .
The start of high-school had me scared with how well I would do in sports. I had .
my tonsils out right before the start of football season. It made my football season .
incredibly hard and the coachs would not give me a chanch becaues I missed the first week. About halfway through the football season I finally got my starting position back. By the time football season was over I was in shape for wrestling season. I had my doubts about wrestling my freshman year. I really did not know if I had what it took to be on the team. Going into the season I knew that I had to get any varsity spot. If I really wanted a varsity spot I had to lose 10 lbs., so I drop my weight from 145 to 135. The coaches started me off on the junior varsity team for the first two weeks. After I got a first place at the hardest junior varsity tournament in our area they moved me up to the varsity team. It was rough season cutting all the weight for the hole season.
