Abortion

This act will have hardly any damage to a woman's body, except for rare occasions, where a part of the fetus is improperly left behind, causing an infection. This may not seem like a very ethical way either, yet compared to the procedure by medication, it slightly sooths me mentally. The raw truth is that abortion is what it is, and any way you look at it or any act you may take you must abort the growing fetus and discard it, if you choose.
Abortion does have side effects in that you feel pain such as cramping, diarrhea, nausea. It also increases the chances of getting cancer, anemia, and lung disease. Another effect that abortion has on a woman is psychological effects. About ninety five percent of women who have had an abortion have had a negative psychological effect, and ninety seven percent thought they have taken a human's life. .
As evidenced above, my view on abortion is very two sided. I feel that if you believe you are making the right decision, such as being unable to financially assist the child, then choosing abortion is not considered a moral wrong. It is very difficult to determine whether the actual act of abortion is morally wrong. Studies have shown that, the unborn child does not feel any pain, and is not mentally developed to understand what is taking place. It is like an unfinished painting that has not been hung in the art gallery for one to view, but if completed it may be the most beautiful painting on the wall. On the other hand, the art gallery may not have many viewers, and the painting will not be a success or its beauty will fade for lack of maintenance because the art gallery cannot afford to care for it. .
The main reason there are debates over this issue is because it is a new life in a stomach, that has never seen the outside world, and abortion is preventing the unborn from ever doing so. In addition, there are many people, such as my girlfriend's sister, that have been trying to have a child for years, and what they are praying for another is taking for granted.
