College Essay

            From the intimate learning community of each Plan 2 honors classroom to the vast amount of students that grace the rooms of freshman English the University of Texas has an incredibly diverse and cultural setting to offer students. And from the punk scene at Emo's nightclub to the artistic atmosphere at Little City's coffee house Austin has an equally enriching amount of entertainment for UT students. .
             Now how does a creative individual who finds pleasure in inspiring others fit into this environment? Is there a place for a woman with several artistic talents and opinions that she refuses to back down on? I happen to know that I would fit in quite well. .
             I manage to combine a fun and exciting personality with a tenacious work ethic. When I take on a project I get it done no matter what the circumstances. With the large amount of students that attend the University you need someone who will stand out in the crowd; someone to make suggestions and someone to make things happen. I am a leader within my social group and I also wear the nametag of severe perfectionist. I will hopefully be an asset to the freshman class of 2003. .
             At my hometown school, Fredericksburg High, pride is a major part of my education. I have learned that having pride in your school and in what your peers accomplish will help build your own confidence. I haven't missed a football game in four years and I was recently on the front page of our local newspaper with my face bearing our school colors. The University of Texas has a great sense of pride and I cannot wait to be a part of Bevo's clan. In fact I already wear my burnt orange with a smile. .
             My friends describe me as someone they will never forget, as loyal and fun, but most importantly they know that they can always count on me for anything they need. My friends and I have become very creative living in this small town. On Saturday nights we don't have the choice of heading to a movie theater, underage nightclub, or concert.
