By providing all the amenities on campus, schools are allowing the student to spend more time at school, giving them more time to work on assignments and homework and not on driving around town to eat and clean their cars and clothes. The minutes quickly add up for the student and they find themselves studying more and getting better grades. The better grades give the student the better education, the better jobs, and eventually the more satisfying life after college. This will come back to benefit the school because that student will then send his or her child to the same school as well as refer other potential college students to it. Some will even become so successful in their careers as a result, that they will donate money to the school and even leave the school a sum of money in their will. .
In order for the school to succeed with the student housing, they need to sell the idea to students and provide enough satisfaction to the student that he or she will decide to stay there the entire duration of their school years. So how can the school sell the idea, how can they make a student want to live on campus and not off? Why will a student want to share a one room dorm with another person?.
The answer is benefits. By providing many benefits to the student, the school secures a potential student as a resident. .
