Greatest Generation

The Greatest Generation highlights many people throughout World War II. Tom Brokaw believes that this is one of the most beneficial generations. Everyone during this generation wished to share their stories to others in order for them to be informed. Brokaw took much time and effort to correctly research many of the characters experiences. Tow Brokaw highlights many different types of people. Some of the types of people include ordinary people, heroes, women in and out of uniform, famous people and a few others. Brokaw even highlights people that were part of the home front during the war. These are men who rarely get equal credit as many other war heroes. This book also highlights the main factors why this war generation was being called the Greatest Generation. .
The people underwent many drastic changes and yet still found the strength to live their lives as "normal" as possible. Even with the constant threat of death or injury, either from attack at home or the fear that a loved one had been killed on the battle- fields, they can not be criticized for being named " The Greatest Generation". Never before has the population had to deal with so much stress and fear. .
Many of the stories told in the Greatest Generation have only been documented by Tom Brokaw himself.
