Human Cloning: To Fear Or Not To Fear

Since the beginning of time, mankind has done some great things in the way of science. The discovery of DNA and the discovery of dinosaur fossils are two of the great innovations of science. The idea of human cloning is a topic that sparks a lot of controversy. I feel that even though humans marvel at the idea of human cloning, we shouldn't proceed in the process of cloning.
The problem I have with cloning is I can only see how this will hurt our society; not help it. A sad conception we had in our society is that if we are capable to do something like cloning, we should. I believe that we need to look at the problems we had in our society before we start making clones. We have over-population worldwide already. Why make these "clones" to crowd our world more? Also, I know that this might sound far-fetched, but what happens if something goes wrong and we have a race of clones that have some type of disorder or mutation? What if it was contagious? I know it sound crazy, but I see where there could be many things that go wrong. To the people who are agree with the process of cloning I ask them this one question; How moral is it to make people in labs for no particular reasons? How would you explain to this person, that they were made in a lab? It dumbfounds me to think why we would even think about cloning humans unless it for medical advances.
I know I asked a lot of questions and didn't answer many. There is only one question I can answer easily. Human cloning: to fear or not to fear? The answer is simple for me: to fear. In my eyes the disadvantages of human cloning extremely out-weight the advantages of human cloning.
