Industrial Revolution

Had it not been for the American industrialization, we would not enjoy the technology we have in the year 2002. The reason we have this technology is that between those years a great change in the world's history was made. People started to discover faster methods of producing goods, which increased their economy. However, this industrialization had no effects on society. Society then was still very poor in some areas, but later on in the future the United States becomes the richest and most powerful country in the world. .
The social changes brought about by the industrialization were significant. As economic activities in many communities moved from agriculture to manufacturing, production shifted from its traditional locations in the home and the small workshop to factories. Large portions of the population relocated from the countryside to the towns and cities where manufacturing centers were found. Immigrants migrated to these citites because of so many jobs and opportunities. The amount of goods and services produced expanded dramatically, and the capital invested per worker grew. New groups of investors, businesspeople, and managers took financial risks and gained great rewards. For one example is Rocafella - a man who did so well that his business reached monopoly during this time.
In the long run the Industrial Revolution has brought economic improvement for most people in industrialized societies. Many enjoy greater and improved health, especially those in the middle and the upper classes of society. However, there has been many faults. In some cases, the lower classes of society have suffered economically. Conditions were bad for the poor, which were mostly immigtrants. They did not have a great style of living. Buildings looked as they were going to fall if it only rained. In just one apartment lived about seven to ten people. But these are the people who brought up the country.
