Karl Marx


The other details of Marx's life are still unknown because he felt that this aspect of his life was irrelevant. His sole purpose of studying Law was because his father wanted very much for him to fallow in his footsteps. During the first year of his collegiate life Karl was getting into trouble with the University so his father was forced to transfer him to Berlin. While at Berlin, Marx attended few classes and also took very little interest in lessons. As Marx began to rebel against authority, he came across an organization known as Young Hegelians. The Group was organized due to a philosophy teacher named Hegel, who taught from 1818 until his death. The rebellion of the school and the group was Hegel's main goal. He manipulated Marx and his fellow classmates through philosophy on the ideals, development and evolution of the mind. As the youngest of the group, Marx was deemed the most intellectual of the students (The Story of His Life, 1991 Mehring).
             At Berlin "He came to believe that all the various sciences and philosophies were part of one overarching, which, when completed, which would give a true and total picture of the universe and man." (Communist Manifesto, Marx (Francis B. Randal), page 15) After gaining this knowledge Marx became an atheist. He firmly believed that science and philosophy would solve any problem one could face in life. .
             When it comes to philosophy and sociology Karl Marx is one of the few true innovators. Marx's doctoral thesis in 1841, "The Difference Between Philosophies of Nature of Democrtius and Epicurus" (The Making of Marx's Critical Theory, Oakley) This was the first look into the mind of this great thinker. He expressed his early thoughts of Marxism.
