Romeo And Juliet

The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet was one of William Shakespeare most popular plays of all time. This story is based on two young lovers destined to die with their star-crossed love. The story of Romeo and Juliet takes place in Verona, Italy where they live with their prominent families. The families of Romeo and Juliet were sworn enemies, which was on reason that their love was doomed from the beginning. Though out the of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo continued to make bad decisions that would change his life forever. The three biggest mistakes that Romeo made was going to the Capulet party, marrying Juliet, and Killing Tybalt.
The first mistake that Romeo mad was going to the Capulet party.
It all started with a Capulet servant who could not read and ironically asked Romeo to read the guest list. Afterwards Benvolio convinced Romeo to attend the party hoping that he would find another girl and forget all about Rosaline. When he went he immediately found one, Juliet. On the way to the party Romeo knew it was a bad idea to go saying "And we mean well in going to this masque, but no wit to go".(754) This would be the beginning of the end of Romeo's life.
The second biggest mistake mad by Romeo was marrying Juliet without their parents consent. In their time marriages were arranged and they had no choice but to marry who their parents wanted them to, so they never had a chance of getting married seeing that their families were feuding. If Romeo and Juliet had did what was right and talked about it to their parents they probably would have had a better chance and would still be alive. In reality they should not have even thought about getting married seeing that their families were enemies. Romeo could not see past Juliets beauty to realize that what he was doing was wrong. He would even deny his name which he replies "Neither fair maid if either thee dislike"(768) when she asks if it was him spying on her.
