A PRESENCE OF LIFE

When she walked into the room, you knew you were in a “presence.” All eyes noticed her; most conversations paused. People would stop and listen in awe of her voice. Imagine a girl with dirty blonde hair and blueish green eyes. A girl with chubby cheeks and that little bit of baby fat. Long legs that stabilize her short torso. Size eleven shoes are on the bottom of those legs. This would be the physical characteristics; of my best friend Jenelle.

Aside from her physical assets, she had many others too. Her faith played a major roll in her life. Every weekend she attended church with her family at St. Peter’s Church. Even more amazing she put her family and friends above all. She always was with her little sister and considered Amy to be her best friend. Jenelle never cared what she had to do she just made everyone happy.

She always walked around with a great big toothy smile on her face. Sometimes it would turn into a goofy grin or one of those unforgettable mysterious ones. You know the ones where the people look like they have something mischievous on their minds. She was very humorous and could turn anyone

Partying was one of Jenelle’s favorite past times. She would go to as many parties as she could. Sometimes I would cover for her and say she was spending the night at my house. It would get old after awhile but I never complained. Jenelle did so much for me I felt like I owed her something back. At times I would get really mad but I bit my tongue and let it slide. Despite her flaws Jenelle was still a good person.

Walking into school with Jenelle was like being in a sea of friends. Granted most of them were guys, but they were the most colorful. There was Shawn the football player/ actor. Next Drew # 1 and Drew #2 the only way you knew the difference was Drew # 2 was bigger and you still got confused telling them apart. Doyle (we never knew his real name) just sweated and stunk a lot. Boy (Aaron) whom was her boyfriend at the time and was the brother of Drew # 1. Trent, a friend from drafting class whom took me to prom. Ryan her neighbor and he also worked with us. Ryan was the biggest smart allelic in the whole clan. Bryan was the over protective ex boyfriend. Joe was the biggest sweetheart even though he could say some mean things. T
