The American flag has been selling out faster than stores can restock them. Not only the American flags are selling out, but magnets, shirts, hats, and anything else with a symbol of American pride on it. Patriotism has not only been on the rise, but because of it, profits have been steadily rising along with it. Another effect of patriotism is the willingness of people to conduct fundraisers. Because of the terrible attacks in New York and Washington, people have come together to raise money for the families of the victims involved in the attacks (Major). People are more than willing to help their fellow Americans in need. A sense of kinship has developed between all Americans. All Americans have one common focus and will not let anything hinder that focus, and will stop at nothing to maintain the bond with their fellow countrymen. To conclude, the effects of patriotism have been far reaching and don't show any signs of slowing down.

Last are the acts of patriotism that all Americans have been participating in to show their pride. People are eager to show and prove their pride in their country.
