The first amendment states the congress can not make any laws respecting a religion. Everyone has the right to pick his or her own religion. The second amendment is about the militia and the right to bear arms. We will always need the National Guard in case of any state disasters. We need to be able to keep on running well and trained. If we don’t keep up a good Guard then we will not be able to respond to disasters. There are a lot of associations that make sure we can have the right to bear arms. The NRA (National Rifle Association) is a very outspoken group for the amendment. If we can not bear arms then how will we be able to defend ourselves against intruders in our own home? The gun makers would lose a lot of money if the American public were not able to bear arms.

The seventh amendment discusses the right to have a trial by jury. This will allow for fellow peers to listen to all the evidence and make a finding instead of a judge. I think the more the merrier is better. If you only have a few people to decide they might be impartial.

The sixth amendment is about the court proceedings. Everybody that is arrested in the United States has the right to a fair and speedy trial. It shall be held in the State and district of where the crime was committed. What if we never had this? We might have to go to California for a court hearing. That would be horrible. We all also have a right to counsel. This is good because if we all had to represent ourselves we would probably lose quite greatly.
