A very important argument in the book says how the Germans were, "At the time the overall undisputed bosses over life and death in Jedwabne and they were the only ones who could decide the fate of the Jews" (Neighbors, pg. 47). ... The Germans had the overall say of what was going to happen with the Jews however the people and especially the town counsel of Jedwabne did all of the killing. ...
