Many other Christians think that euthanasia is a justifiable way to die. They believe Jesus died on the cross so our sins will be forgiven. They commit a sin by committing "suicide", but God forgives them. They believe that God understands their reasons for wanting to die and not wanting to live in misery.
In some cases, doctors have either chosen or proposed to end someone's life. They think that there is no way the patient can live with the disease or the patient will not live in happiness. Many people think that the family of the patient makes the decision. They feel that they are the ones that will take care of the patient, so they should make the decision. They do not want to see their family member live in pain or live like a vegetable. Neither the doctor or the family should decide whether euthanasia is executed. Since it is impossible to understand how much the patient is suffering, he or she must be the only person that can make the decision. He or she may prefer death now, instead of waiting for a slow, agonizing death. Many of the patients that would prefer to die are people with incurable and deadly diseases such as cancer, heart problems, organ failure, Alzheimer, Parkinson, Multiple Sclerosis, AIDS, and many more diseases. Other examples of people that may want euthanasia are:.
