            Organizational Behavior (OB) is very important to efficient business operations. The definition of OB appears complex: "Organizational Behavior is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within an organization for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an organization's effectiveness" (Robbins 16). The concept of OB is simple; understand your people and you understand your business. .
             This paper will present a case study involving two companies that may have opposing views relating to ethical operations. This team will assume the role of managers for the Stump Water Company. Our task is to maintain the operational efficiency of Stump Water, while dealing with the human elements of an intense situation. .
             The Stump Water Company is earthy and organic. It caters to its personnel and is committed to the community. On the other hand, there is the Acme Beverage Company whose reputation in the community has been recently sullen by accusations of impropriety. The Acme Beverage Company appears to be mechanized and extremely efficient. Stump Water executives have recently announced that its shareholders have approved the acquisition of the Acme Beverage Company. Naturally, there is some apprehension among the employees of Stump Water. Stump Water union leaders have been against the merger in fear the stellar ethical record of the company would tarnish after the merger with the Acme Beverage Company. .
             This paper will provide a description of each company, and reflect a need to reinforce ethical issues as they may relate to a successful merging of the companies. In addition, we will examine answers to the following questions that may help the companies in a successful and efficient merger:.
            
             • What will be our method of research and evaluation?.
            
             • How will we objectively evaluate the apparent ethical differences between the companies?.
