The Morally Correct Ethical Theory

Everyone's opinion may differ based on their beliefs and the way they think about things. In my opinion Deontology, also known, as Kantian ethics and Consequentialist are both morally correct in terms of making moral decisions in conflicting moral situations, organizing our moral experience, and conforming to our moral intuitions. Kantian ethics is more concerned with what people do and not the result of their actions. Generally in the Deontological system, God determines our duties, rules, and obligations. Therefore being moral would be to obey the bible and follow the word of God. Moral principles are completely separated from any consequences which following those principles might have. For example, if you were to steal an item from a store and the storeowner asked you if you stole that item, the morally correct thing to do would be to tell the truth even if you know that the consequences will negatively affect you. A deontologist lives in a world of morally correct rules and Consequentialists make their decisions based on the appeal of the results. .
Although Consequentialists and Deontologist are completely different they both have their pros and cons. Consequentialist is more about the outcome of their decisions and the positive effect it'll have on the people. According to BBC, when making decisions "Consequentialism is typically based on two principles: .
             - Whether an act is right or wrong depends only on the results of that act.
             - The more good consequences an act produces, the better or more right that act". (BBC.2014) .
So basically the morally correct thing to do is to live to better the majority of the people.
Overall, making decisions can be very hard depending on what type of situation you are put in. According to the Kantian ethic theory you would choose the option that is "lesser than two evils ". For example, the German philosopher Immanuel Kant thought it would be immorally correct to lie about something in order to save the life of his friend.
