Educated women tend to be healthier; they would earn more income by joining the labor force and be wiser while family planning – this could drop fertility and infant mortality rates.
Personal Perspective .
Personally, I believe that by promoting gender equality, the amount of people receiving education will increase by a drastic amount. Moreover, productivity of each nation will increase, as more people will be a part of the labour force. Ladies could be good at jobs that cannot be easily performed by men. The nation's GDP (gross domestic product) would increase and there would be a rise in output leading to great economic and social growth for the nation along with a rise in the standard of living and a decrease in poverty. My family believes that the reason ladies are not allowed to work or even complete their education is because of a backward society. Societies in LEDCs and other third world countries would have to change their mindsets towards the way they treat women. .
Case Analysis.
Global Perspective.
Violence against women has been a huge issue in Afghanistan over the years. Women seek justice; however, they do not have the adequate knowledge or independence to stand up for themselves. Societies around the world still live with the thought that women should not be given equal rights as men. Women suffer from tremendous human rights violations; 60-80% of all marriages that take place in Afghanistan are forced or they're child marriages. A girl has to start a family before she's sixteen. The gender inequality index ranks countries by considering various factors; out of the 138 countries that have been ranked, Afghanistan is 134th. This proves that women are not receiving education and therefore cannot be in the labour force, which is a massive barrier to the nation's progress. In early 2012, several women in Afghanistan who are still victims of abuse spoke for their rights. They formed an entire group and protested on the streets, as they were desperate to seek justice.
