Romantic Poetry

In a way, it can be alikened to a cancer - Love, Like a Carcinogen, Can metaphorically trigger a rapid replication of Cells within the Mind, Getting larger and larger until there is little room for anything else. Thus, Madness is, Essentially, Love Gone Wrong - It Is what happens when the strength of Love goes into Overdrive. .
This Is the Theory That I Would Like to Prove to You, today. That Love Is Not an Innocuous, Genial, Beautiful Thing - But Rather, That Love will, Eventually, Drive us all mad. I will Also Point out That This madness has some function - That is leavens the scale, And removes the rift Between men and Women, when it come to Love. Madness is blind - it effects Men and women in the same way, Causing both to be poetic and hyper-sensitive. .
But How are we To prove Anything About madness? It's a Notoriously Private Emotion, Expressed only in extreme circumstances, such as public humiliations, and suicides. It's rare That Anyone will really Open up and talk about their undying obsession, about their overdose of Love. However, there is one medium through which was can gaze into the depths of madness, and obsession, And See It's true Core, See It's Structure and process. This medium, Of course, Is Poetry. Poetry Is a hotline to the soul, and through it's verse, we can see, exposed, some of the truest emotions a human is capable of producing. Today, I Plan To Examine three poems from three different eras, In Hopes of Both Proving That Love will drive One Mad, And also, to discern the types of Madness that can be derived from Love. .
The First Era I will speak Of Is The Elizabethan Era - Era Of Romeo And Juliet, Or tragic Love, Of unjust arranged marriages and secret love affairs. The Most Common Type Of Love-madness Found in this era can be Dubbed "tragic Love", Can Revolved around the Pain of Two people who wished to be together, But Couldn't Be.
