Young teenage girls can be easily influenced, and when they see this show and what the women are doing they feel that it is alright to sleep around with thirty different men. The media needs to start sending out positive messages to the children, whether it is on TV or in a magazine.
Growing up as a young teen isn't easy. If a girl is not with the right group, then her whole teenage years can be ruined. Everybody wants to be in the "in" crowd, and they can be very mean to people who are "out". The people in these "in" crowds often pick on other people and put them down. They look upon people as if they are nothing. Most of the good looking guys are in these groups; the athletes, the jocks, and the cheerleaders. Want girl wouldn't want to be in this group? Going to all the parties with the football team, hanging out with the cheerleaders. Many girls would do anything to fit in with this group of people. When I say "anything" I mean anything, as far as sleeping with the whole football team. When I was in high school, there was quit a few girls that would do anything to fit in. This one girl Karen (not her real name), would go around and perform sexual acts on some of the popular guys, because they told her that it would make her popular. Another girl, Marissa (not her real name), was at a party and she had slept with the most popular guy in high school. He went and told his friends and then they would all call her. She thought that they liked her and that she was becoming popular, but the only reason why all the guys called her was because they heard she was easy. One of my roommates here at college is the same way. She is rather overweight, but she feels that all the guys like her because they come to her when they want to get some kind of sexual acts. The reason they come to her is because they know that she's going to give it up. A movie that I was in, "Everybody's Doing It", was all about wanting to fit in.
