Human CLoning

 

             Human Cloning has been a very controversial topic over the past few years. In my essay, I will be discussing the topic of human cloning. My opinion about this is that I am against the cloning of humans. Many people are against human cloning while there are some people who are for it. This topic is a well-known controversy. .
             The claim by a controversial company is that it has produced the world's first human baby clone. This has prompted many calls for cloning to be outlawed or banned in the United States of America. A famous scientist from the American Bioethics committee said that the U.S. " should come down very hard on those who want to cross this boundary between procreation and manufacture. .
             There have been many attempts to clone humans in the past. All of these attempts have been unsuccessful, meaning that the baby would be born with birth defects. In January of the year 2002, Clonaid, a U.S. based company had claimed that it had produced a healthy cloned baby girl, nicknamed Eve by scientists, born by Caesarean section to a 31-year-old U.S. mother.
             The chairman of the U.S. president's council on bioethics said that the practice was unethical and should be outlawed. The House of Representatives passed a bill to ban all cloning but the bill had not passed through the Senate and had not become law. The president of the United States, George Bush is "deeply troubled" by the human cloning topic. Many scientists doubt the cloning company's ability to clone a human and their motives, pointing to the company's intention to charge about $200,000 for each cloned child.
             Human cloning is an extravagant controversy. It is slowly gaining success, but we will se what the future beholds. As I stated earlier in my opinion that I am against the cloning of human beings, I have just finished giving details to support my point of view.
