After the first death

In the novel After the First Death by Robert Cormier there are number of important moral issues. In this essay I have to write what are the moral issues and how are they treated or resolved in the novel. What is our position and opinion as the reader on the issues?.
The first moral issue in the novel is patriotism in the dictionary patriotism is defined as love of country and willingness to sacrifice for it. In this novel there are many of patriotism involved for example Miro he will sacrifice his life for his country. In this novel Miro is one of the terrorist that try to free his country. .
Another example is brigadier General Marchand he sacrifice his son's life only for his country. He thinks it's the right thing to send his child as the messenger when he knows it is dangerous. But because it is for the country he did it. I have no sympathy for him when I realize that the events on the bridge have caused him to lose his sanity because I know that he done the wrong thing he should have send someone else.
Terrorist can be call patriots because some terrorist do not do what they want for money or fame they do it for their country. We call them terrorist because they hijack stuffs. And they hurt people.
The second moral issue is terrorism in the dictionary terrorism is the unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons. The story After the First Death is about terrorism. Artkin group is a terrorist they hijack the bus and bomb cities.
All of us reckon that terrorism is bad things to do but the terrorist themselves think it is the right thing to do. Because they got reason why they want to do it. In this particular novel they doing this to free their country and for some political reasons. .
             The third issue is violence.
