the world that perished

The Great Flood, from the Bible, changed the world in many different ways. One hundred and fifty days went by before the water began to subside. The fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. The ocean basins and corresponding uplift of continents and mountain ranges suddenly deepened in order to bring and end to the Flood. Oceanic depths began to move on the continents. This is known as the law of hydrodynamics. The seafloor sank and the continents rose up. There was a lot of movement and erosional effect. Mountains had already been developed, but increased and changed in size and shape as a result of the Flood. Also, the great Grand Canyon developed into a beautiful landmark. Sediment - saturated currents produced horizontal superimposed layer of materials. Each current would deposit a load of sediment. Thus, the different layers of the earth, up to thousands of feet from the core. Fossils were created and there was a lot of sedimentary formation. Noah, his family, and the animals were in the ark fifty-eight weeks throughout the Flood. They were the only living things to survive. All of the animals were destroyed. Thus, the reasoning for having the animals enter the Ark "two-by-two." The reason the Flood was created by God was because "the earth was filled with violence," as told in Genesis 6:11 & 13. .
