Education

For example, someone interested in becoming a doctor could gain the necessary knowledge and skills to take the test to attend medical school. A graduated high school football player may wish to attend college to lean the necessary skills to go on to the NFL.
My main reason for attending college after high school was responsibility. I felt I was responsible for taking advantage of the opportunity to further my education. It was my duty to learn all that I could to better myself and to help society. For me not to attend college would be disrespectful to all of those who wanted to go but couldn't. It is not to say that someone without a college degree cannot better themselves or society but reality shows us that a college degree can open doors and makes it easier to achieve your goals. Money was another reason I chose to attend college. I wanted to make money and lots of it. I had no clue how I was going to do this but I thought college would be a great place to start. Once I was here my thinking started to change and I was focused more on improving myself as a person mentally and spiritually. College has given me the chance to interact with many types of personalities. Seeing how other people think and act gives you the opportunity to examine yourself. Being around so many different types of people gave me a look at how my world was evolving and gave me the chance to decide what role in it I wanted to pursue.

I now know that college is about opportunities, responsibilities, and priorities. I absolutely feel obligated to use the knowledge and experiences I've obtained to make a good life for myself and everyone else. The responsibility I talk about is not limited to doing your homework or waking up for class. We have a responsibility as college graduates not only to make good lives for our families and ourselves but also to improve the world in which we live. College has allowed me to see where my strengths and weaknesses are.
