Information Technology is used in academic institutions for multiple purposes at a number of levels to enhance systems of education. Academic institutions make no distinctions in using the technology whether its grade one or post secondary level. Technology in regards computers, is more advantageous because it can be changed or adapted in accordance with a persons level of knowledge. A computer can be used with a grade one student to help that child learn new English vocabulary and the same machine can be used by a university student to write a sophisticated micro-chip program to control a robotic arm.
