Lisa understands that having the baby would imply tough time, but she also realizes that she's still young and has a lot of school left to take care of. The main problem with the concerns of abortion, the audience is confused whether she should have the baby or have an abortion. Erica is honorable to the fact that Lisa's pregnant, yet it's difficult for her to agree on Lisa having the baby because she is only twenty-one in college.
             Part II.
             Exordium:.
             The exordium or better known as exordia is used by the rhetor to introduce or "establish their ethos as intelligent, reliable, and trustworthy people"(p. 201). The statement of the issue is Lisa having or not having an abortion. This is based on the facts in her story asking for advice from Erica. Erica presents the facts that Lisa is too young to bear a child at this point in time because of her age.
             Abortion have been around for many years and done to females successfully. The National Abortion Federation (NAF) is the professional association of abortion providers in the United States and Canada. The members of the NAF provide the broadest spectrum of abortion expertise in North America. Each year, more than 50% of all pregnancies among American women are unintended. About half of these unplanned pregnancies, 1.5 million each year, are ended by abortion. The decision to get rid of baby is rarely simple. Most women base their decision on several factors, the most common being lack of money and/or unreadiness to start or expand their families due to existing responsibilities. Many feel that the most responsible course of action is to wait until their situation is more suited to childrearing; 70% plan to have children when they are older, financially able to provide necessities for them, and/or in a supportive relationship with a partner so their children will have two!.

             Narration:.
             The narration is the statement of the issue. Studies show, researchers surveyed a national sample of 5,295 women, not all of who have had abortions, and many of whom had abortions between 1979 and 1987, the time they were involved in the study.
