Infinite Energy

"All my worries about nuclear energy, said Teller, the full realization that it was coming, and coming very soon, and that it would be very dangerous, date back to that time in March 1939, when I was interrupted in the middle of a Mozart sonata." (Blumberg 87) . Teller, who played a main role in the discovery of nuclear energy, was playing one of his favorite songs on his piano that March evening when the call from Leo Szilard, who discovered the chain reaction of the splitting of the atom, announcing the world's first known nuclear chain reaction, marked the first step toward the discovery of nuclear energy and the discovery of the atomic bomb.
The discovery of nuclear energy was a very important event in the history of humankind. It can be used as a rich source of energy, but it can be used to wipe out cities and make countries disappear from the face of the Earth. Humankind has to choose, sooner or later, between collective suicide and the intelligent use of this scientific conquest. The existence of nuclear energy has changed the world. Nuclear energy has many advantages, but because human nature leads people to use even good things for bad purposes, the use of nuclear energy should be abandoned because of its potential for mass destruction.
Although nuclear energy has some advantages, but these are not comparable with its disadvantages. Some of the advantages of nuclear energy are NMR or Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging and radioactive dating. NMR is used for generating images of internal structure in the human body. It is better than X-ray and CAT-scan because NMR does not expose the body to harmful radiation and it provides insight into dynamic chemical processes, which can lead to the early detection of illnesses. In the other hand, X-ray machines and CAT-scan can only detect a difference in the image of the organ. The other useful application of nuclear energy is radioactive dating.
