Till My Dying Day

The day couldn't have been any more normal. Nice weather, nothing out of the ordinary, just blue skies and sunshine. This normal day was to become a day like no other. The steep downhill journey of my life starts here.
I woke up that morning somewhat early feeling more refreshed than usual. I watched television for a while until it was time to hop in the shower and get ready to pick up my date. We decided to go on a little day trip to the beach and then take walk through downtown San Francisco. Our plan was to do a little bodysurfing and then get our fortune told by one of the psychics' downtown. .
After a long drive we arrived at the beach and had our fun. After the beach became a bore we set out to the streets. We were getting tired and decided to just walk up and down Haight Street one time. On the way up the street we got a bite to eat and purchased a few souvenirs. On the way back we kept our eyes peeled for a respectable looking psychic. The one that we finally decided on had a large figure eight on the door, this was definitely our best bet. .
When we walked into the establishment it reeked of incense and candle wax. There were beads, silk, and birds. It was so cliché and stereotypical that it felt as if we were standing on a movie set. The woman who greeted us was kind but had an eerie look to her. She had a scarf on her head and a big mole on her long pointy nose. Any skepticism I harbored upon entering had completely vanished when our eyes met. It is difficult to explain but after I looked at her there was no doubt in my mind that she was the real deal. I stared at her for a moment before introducing myself. This lady was all business, no chit chat. We immediately sat down and began the session. .
I chose the package that included a Tarot card reading and a Crystal ball viewing. I had been to a psychic previously, which turned out to be quite fun and interesting.
