Ever since I was a little kid I always loved school because I always loved learning new things and then share my knowledge with others. When I entered high school I somehow lost my interest I stopped believing in myself and started to cut school, when a person starts to mess up in school it is very hard to get back into it. Having friends that are not on the same path as me was making it harder for me to go back to school but now reality struck, I"m only getting older and I have to get my education in order to make it and be on my own. .
Everyday my mother asks me what are plans what am I going to do when she leaves to her country for good, and I just ignored her. Recently, I have asked myself "Francisco, why don't you take advantage of the situation. You still live with your mother, you have no responsibilities, and you don't need to pay rent or any other house bills. So, get back into school and hopefully in two or three years you"ll have a diploma that a help you through." .
That's when Monroe College comes in my plans, Monroe could help me grow into the person I want to be. In my knowledge a college experience is a very important part of your life because that's when you decide what you want to do, that's when you decide if you want to go to school or not. In college there is no such thing as in parent- teacher conference, everything is on you, you take responsibility for your actions and if you fail in college you could only blame yourself. I am ready to take this step in life and I hope Monroe is willing to give me a hand so, I could prove to others, and myself I could become someone important. I hope I see you in the Fall Semester.
