It is important to remember that pro-abortionists have failed to show their weaknesses but in Christianity through the bible no faults can be found.
There are many different things to consider when determining where you stand on the issue. First and foremost you should look at what the bible says. Many people believe that the bible is silent on the issue of abortion but I beg to differ. There are many scriptures that clearly show the bible's stand on abortion. As a Christian, I believe that life begins when the baby is conceived. Isaiah 44:24 says, "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;" In Jeremiah 1:5 God tells Jeremiah, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations" The list of scripture goes on and on. .
Another factor to consider when deciding your stand on abortion is the affects it has on your life. Abortion is a very serious procedure that can have very serious results. It can affect you physically and psychologically. This is another thing that people rarely stop to consider. .
Some physical effects include: miscarriages, still births, menstrual disturbances, infections, shock, intense pain, insomnia, weight loss, and vomiting. One of the main physical effects are the miscarriages. Maybe your pregnancy was not intentional or you were raped. Even though the pregnancy was not planned, the results down the road could be devastating. Maybe later on you plan to have kids but are unable to because of miscarriages. Approximately 2 out of 10 women who abort their first pregnancy will never be able to have children again. .
The Psychological effects are just as great. Some include: guilt, mourning, anger/rage, nightmares, child abuse, lower self-esteem, inability to forgive self, and regret.
