Transformational Leadership

This is a model of unethical leadership or pseudo transformational leadership that includes ethical transgression and does not have to be illegal but may characterize the ethical or unethical behaviors of leaders on a daily basis.

As a result of previous model mentioned earlier is that these models are distinguished between authentic (ethical) and pseudo (unethical) transformational leaders, and socialized (ethical) and personalized (unethical) charismatic leaders (Bass & Stedman, 1999). The dominant focus in these present models is that they are on the personality or the implied values of leaders. There are other ways to understand unethical leadership in which the roles of the follower's perceptions have given that both transformational and pseudo-transformational leaders may share like behaviors. .
             According to Turner et al.,(2002), discovered a cognitive development framework as if the similarity distinctions are between socialized and personalized charismatic leadership. This leadership revealed that the highest stage of moral judgment in which reasoning is based on universal principle, and associated with transformational leadership whereas transformational leadership is associated with ethic of care.
             Critical factors will distinguish the models mentioned earlier about pseudo-transformational leadership. The first model of unethical leadership emphasizes the personality and values of a leader whereas it specifies the behaviors that constitute transformational leadership and how these behaviors are perceived by followers.
