There are a few of obstacles that interfere with my education. The choice is mine whether I let these obstacles break me or make me. There are three prominent things that currently interfere with my education, one of them being the College Placement Test, my finances, and managing my responsibilities while doing well in school. By far these challenges have limited my ability to prioritize my educational goals. Although these are all matters I know I can overcome, I find they often hinder my focus on my education. The College Placement Test has been very challenging for me. Reading and math are not my strongest subjects and not being able to understand the material has caused me a lot of frustration. I took the test more than three times within one week, all three tests came back with the same results. As a result, I have to work my way up to higher-level courses and the thought of how long it might take can sometimes be discouraging.
As a young adult achieving some degree of financial independence is always on my mind. I want to be successful in school but I also want to be financially comfortable. I know work would be great but I also know that I am easily distracted and I don't want work to interfere with my ability to do well in school. Luckily I am able to live at home and focus solely on school, which I am very grateful for. My main motivation at the moment is knowing that putting my efforts in school now will not only help me towards a better life but also better financial opportunities in the future. Outside of school my responsibilities at home can be hard to keep up with. Being at home requires helping out around the house and being more aware and considerate towards everyone at home. As a young kid I failed to realize how much my parents have to do take care of me and how important it is that I help out as much as I can. Truthfully I still don't always do a good job taking care of my responsibilities.
