The Big College Decision


            Should I go to college? Many people are asking themselves this question and don't know whether they should go to college or not because they don't know the value of a college education. Well the value of a college education is beneficial because you have an opportunity to earn more money and it gives you a better life experience for the future. .
             A college education is valuable because of the opportunity(s) it gives you to earn more money. When you get a college degree you will eventually earn more money than somebody with a High School diploma or even lower degree in college such as an Associate's degree compared to a Master's degree. For example, someone with some college but NO degree earns $712 weekly, compared to someone who is a college graduate who earns $1,038 weekly, stated in the article "Actually, College is very much worth it." Also in the video 'Five Ways Ed Pays' includes that an average college graduate earns 22,000 more than a high school graduate and a college graduate earns 63% more in hourly wages than a high school graduate. In addition, people with a bachelor's degree earn about $415 more a week than a worker whose highest level of education is a high school diploma and someone with a professional degree (lawyers and physicians) earn about $1,000 more per week than workers who have a high school diploma. Getting a college degree is more worth it and valuable than just sticking with a High School Diploma because you have the opportunity to earn more money. (Logos) .
             Also a college education is beneficial because of the life experiences college gives to you. During or after you get out of college you would be able to have a career and have opportunities to have a closer family.
