Police and Community Development

            The relationship between police and community can be improved by having more public meetings, giving the people more security and assistance in approaching their problems. Living in a community, one can go through many problems with neighbors and even with the police. The police should be responsible for the security of its people, but instead some police lack this support. The people and the police should have an understanding relationship; one that can allow the people to have their freedom of speech and one that can allow the people to understand what the police's duties are. To have a fruitful relationship between the two, the police along with its people should work hand-in-hand with one another. The relationship between the police department and the community can be improved by having more public meetings, giving the people more security and assistance in approaching their problems.
             Firstly, the relationship between the police department and the community can be improved by having more public meetings. Hosting these conferences can make the people comprehend what is happening around them and how to approach their problems. The police should be able to explain and inform them on what they are required to do and he/she can implement rules along with the voice of the people on what to do when approaching a problem. Public meetings not only help the people but also they assist the police on how to control and secure the community. Being able to have these meetings will better yet improve their relationship.
             Secondly, their relationship can also be improved by securing and protecting its people. Security is important for a community, so as to make the people live safely. Without these necessities the community will become uncontrollable and dangerous to live in. The people will no longer feel safe, but with the assistance of the police these dilemmas can be eased. Securing and protecting these people can develop better relationship because they will feel important and secured by the protection that is given to them.
