Imagine that you are a student still in high school. The new iPhone just came out, and you want it super bad. You ask your parents to get it for you and they consistently say "no." What do you do? You get a job. Some people may say that it is too hard and too stressful for a student to balance school and work, which is very understandable as some students may have trouble doing so. Although, I believe that if a student is responsible enough to go out and get a job, then that student certainly has the responsibility level to balance work and school. .
One reason why high schoolers should have jobs is because it teaches them responsibility, as well as time and money management. Not only would they have to get up and go to school, but then they will also have to get up and go to work on possibly the weekends as well as after school. It will teach them to be responsibility and time management skills by teaching them to always be on time for work as well as not falling behind in school.then a lot of teenager that drive have to pay for their own vehicle. How are they going to get the money for a car? Work. By worki and saving their money, a student will eventually be able to afford a vehicle, but having money also brings issues like wanting to buy a lot of material items because they can, not because they're needed. By managing their money the student could afford a vehicle as well as have money to spend on certain occasions. .
Another helpful understanding that a student can learn by having a job is that not everything in life is free. There are a lot of high schoolers that get a vehicle paid for by their parents as well as having the insurance for the vehicle and the gas for it too. Parents that do this for their child may seem like the "cool" parents, but they aren't really helping their child at all because that child is going to be expecting things to just come to them in life when they get older and when they realize that nothing is handed to them.
