Men, Women and Gender

Not only are men regarded as such but see themselves as such and that is very much due to the affect of societal stigmas. Men come and go as they please, men do as they please, men fuck who they please, men are taller, men are stronger, men are wiser, men are bigger, men just seem to be the luckier of the species and the list can go on and on. Now I may sound satirical when I point such things out but sometimes the truth is quite comical and these are all words and phrases we have all heard since we were pushed out of our mother's tiny wombs. .
Society however, has played a huge part in the way we see gender and gender roles. From the moment that you are born, you are assigned a sex. You are put into one of two categories, male or female and with there being nearly 7 billion people in the world and the projected population to only rise and reach 9.5 billion by the year 2050, I can kind of see where the gender line may have become skewed. Gender isn't as black and white as we simpletons would like to think it is, in my personal opinion, I believe there are many, many, many gray areas. I strongly feel over the course of time and somewhere along the evolutionary highway, gender became far more complex then we deemed fit and due to technology developing so copiously over the last ten years, more than it has in the last fifty, (thus giving people an abundant amount of information and accessibility to said information on a dubious level), has now in fact, created a backlash, a backlash effect that people just aren't ready. .
It is now that we as a society are becoming more conceptually conscious that people are even able to seemingly understand this. Ten years ago most of the topics we speak of today were unbeknownst to most of modern mankind. According to an article by professor Darren Rosenbalm, by using the traditional standards of assigning a newborn baby either male or female we are ignoring everything contemporary science knows about sex, namely that many factors of sex difference - chromosomal, genital and hormonal, instead make sex a far richer set of possibilities than just male or female.
