Discreteness is shown in this language because Kurdish uses prefixes and suffixes to express grammatical relationships between words. The language show productivity because they can arrange their lexicon of 6,841 words however they want in any order, (Hassanpour). The language shows displacement by them being able to talk about intangible objects like faraway places such as the next village over, or places they want to visit, and emotions such as the love for their children or spouse, or anger towards their enemies.
             Grammar is the shared system of linguistic knowledge. The components of grammar include syntax, phonology, and morphology. We can say that Kurdish has a grammar system because to speak Kurdish properly there is a known system to speak. We also know that Kurdish has phonemes because it is communicated orally and it has morphemes because the communicated sounds have meaning. Phonology is the study of regular occurring sounds. In the Kurdish language there are two unique phonemes and they are 'r' and 'ř'. 'r' is produced by making a single tap of the tongue. While 'ř' is made by rolling the tongue like in Spanish. .
             Morphology is the study of meanings. There are smaller units and they are called morphemes, they consist of free morphemes which don't need to be on a word to have meaning.
