My book the Lord of the Flies takes place in the times of World War 2 (WWII). The book is about a group of boys who are stranded on an Island alone. There are no adults on the Island. There plane was shot down, and crashed into the Island. The pilot was also killed. All the boys get together and have a meeting. They know what they have to do to survive. They must find food, build shelter, and work together. The main character named Ralph is elected chief. Another boy named Jack wants to be chief, and he does not like Ralph very much.
The first person Ralph met when he first landed on the Island is a boy named "Piggy". As chief, Ralph says that whoever has the Conch Shell can talk. They decide that a boy named Jack will be the leader of the hunters. He and his team go out and kill pigs for food. They build a fire using Piggy's glasses and the sun to start a fire. A young boy states that he saw a "beast" on the Island. Another team of kids construct huts for shelter. A young boy is killed when Jack's team does a reenactment of the hunting and killing of their pig. The teams are also still afraid of a beast that may get them. .
