             Introduction.
             In this project, we were instructed to build a model bridge. The goal of our project was to hold the most weight and have the greatest load to weight ratio. To solve this problem, we researched bridge designs in the encyclopedia and on the Internet. We found that the strongest structural shape was the triangle, and therefore designed our bridge completely out of triangles. We modeled our design after the world record holder for balsa wood bridges. Our bridge is a modified arch bridge because it transfers force to the ground similarly. The arch has been transformed into a triangle for ease of construction. We began with a single triangle and added supports where potential force could cause a weakness. With this knowledge, we began our bridge project.

             Summary and Conclusion.
             We found the process of building a bridge to be much more difficult than we had originally thought. We modeled our foot bridge off the world record holding balsa wood bridge, and built it out of balsa wood of width 1/6" by 3/16" and bass wood sheets 1/16" thick. We decided that we should build it in different stages.
