            Terrorism has been a term that has long been a definition and example of daily life of other countries in our world for a dramatic period of time. But to the United States of America, this term was something that most citizens of this great country took for granted and felt confident that they would not ever have to encounter. However to our disbelief not only did the United States of America actually fall victim to these horrific types of crimes but, indefinitely the United States as well as the rest of the world live now with the effects of its dirty wrath forever. What damage terrorism has left for us to clean up and the message it has left us in fear of is some thing that has not only changed the American people but the Government in which the American people look to for safety and reassurance.
             Terrorism is the unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons. This definition was used for the occurance that happened to the United States of America on September 11th, 2001 when the president of the United States, George Bush stated, " I believe that we, the United States of America and its people, have fallen victim to an "apparent terrorist attack".( add in resource here). The "apparent terrorist attack" against the United States involved three aircraft slamming into American icons, two into the World Trade Center towers in the heart of America, New York, and one into the United States Pentagon in the nations capitol, Washington, D.C.
             .
             In the following, as a brief overview of what took place on this historic day, lays a outline of the dramatic events as they unfolded in front of the American eye.
             8:51 a.m.: American Airlines jetliner crashes into 1 World Trade Center, the north tower.
             9:06 a.m.: United Airlines jet crashes into 2 World Trade Center, the south tower.
