Well cancer itself is a disease characterized by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. Breast cancer specifically is any type of malignant cancerous growth in the breast tissue. There are several types of breast cancer, but the common types are Ductal Carcinoma, Lobular Carcinoma, Medullary Carcinoma, and Mucinous Carcinoma. Ductal Carcinoma is when cancer cells are present inside the milk ducts, but they have not yet spread through the walls of the ducts into the fatty tissue of the breast. For this reason, "nearly 100% of women diagnosed at an early stage can be cured. This type of breast cancer accounts for 85 to 90 percent of the cases of the disease" (http://www.breastbiospy.com). The second common type of breast cancer is Lobular Carcinoma, which is found in the milk producing glands of the breast. Information found says that this type is far less common than Ductal Carcinoma, but it can present itself in both breast more often then other types of breast cancer. " Lobular Carcinoma can be invasive breast cancer." Medullary Carcinoma is a special type of breast cancer that has a relatively well-defined boundary between the tumor and normal tissue says www.breastbiospy.com. This is said to prevent rapid spreading of the cancer, and it often can be treated more effectively compared to other types of invasive breast cancer. "This particular type of breast cancer of breast cancer is said to account for about 1 to 5 percent of breast cancer" (http://www.drkrop.com). Last but not least Mucinous Carcinoma is the last type breast cancer being explained which is another type of invasive breast cancer. It is formed in the east by mucus-producing cancer cells which spread the disease into the surrounding breast tissue.
